With intersection: the Church, the State, and me, I hope to explore the interactions, interpolations, and sometimes internecine interplay among the three most important parts of our lives.
As our world becomes more connected through technology, it can also become more contentious as conflicts among competing interests seem to arise more rapidly and dissipate more slowly. And I think the three greatest and enduring interests are those of our beliefs (the Church), our governing structure (the State), and our individual self.
All three direct our actions, thoughts, and decisions. All three are a combination of our culture (including tradition), our particular time in history, and our mind. And all three can be used for good or evil. I hope to explore these through links and original writing.
(And, just in case I forget to mention it, writing a tumblelog also gives me a place to post links to stories that interest me and to comment on what’s happening in my world. I don’t know why, but somehow I think that my links on facebook have not always been appreciated.)
